Wireless xbox live?

i have my xbox connected to my bt home hub wirelessly for xbox live and every time i sign in just to play a game(not on live)it automaticl connects me to live.as i only have 250mins wifi is there any way of turning my xbox on and playing a game without being on xbox live i noticed my game tag has xblox live under it.do i have to have 2game tags 1 for live and 1 for offline thanks and once im on xbox live how do i disconnect please help im so confused

You can log off of xbox live any time you want. You have it to automatically sign you into LIVE. You can turn that setting off, so that you'll have to sign in manually each time. I'm not sure which menu it's in, but check your systems settings. When at the main page of the dashboard, I believe it's either X or Y to log off of live.
