I know a lady who has seven children and she has live chickens living with in the house in the living room. Does anyone know any laws about this?
Are live chickens allowed to live in humans houses with them?
I don't think there's a law specifically against it if she's in an agriculturally zone area where livestock are allowed. It would be awfully disgusting and smelly to have chickens in the house though. What is she thinking?

That's just gross. I don't think the initial act is illegal, but it might raise some concerns with the health department, and maybe some children advocacy groups.

I don't know of anywhere that would allow "livestock" to live in human quarters. It is considered a health hazzard.Contact your local health dept. They can put an end to this situation for you...or city health inspectors.

I doubt there's a law against it but I could be wrong. Anyone thinking clearly would have them in cages and only bring them out to hold them.
Call you local animal control and ask. They should be up on all the zoning laws and other legal stuff regarding animals. Tell them what you saw.
That's pretty gross, though.
