I live in a bad neighborhood. I live in the neighborhood that people are afraid to go in and has a bad reputation. My parents bought a house in this neighborhood because even though they are good people, they were ignorant to the fact that there is a lot of gang activity and crime in my neighborhood. When we moved here, I was too young to know how bad the neighborhood is. The good news is that I live on a safe street and I go to school in the neighborhood next door which is a good neighborhood. Everyday it's almost like a mission to get home safe. I've gotten jumped before and the guys that did it live two blocks from my house. Moving is the most obvious choice, but since my parents bought the house recently (buyers remorse) we won't move anytime soon at least for another two years. I will get my driver's license soon which will for the most part keep my from dangers (since I walk alone on the street a lot). Adults generally aren't messed with but teenagers like me are. What can I do?

If the others were reading correctly, they would see that moving is not an option now. The best thing to do is to stay to yourself, walk with a group, not by yourself. on top of all that, pray for safety every chance you get. I understand your situation and i feel for you. Is there an aunt, grandmother, cousin, that you can go live with until you finish school?

FIRST THING YOU HAVE TO DO IS PRAY EVERYDAY FOR YOUR FAMILY,FRIENDS AND LOVE ONES SAFETY, THEN IF YOU KNOW THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO WALKING ONTHE STREETS EVERYDAY IF ITS NOT IMPORTANT, DON'T GO AND IF YOU COULD GET A DROP TO WHERE -EVER YOU GIONG BETTER FOR YOU .
