Do you live in the now or for the future?

I am a college student who has lived my life with my future in regards. I work, I study, I sleep %26amp; eat, I have selective friends, I have a great family, and I have fiancee/boyfriend. But most importantly, I save. Everything I do is in preparartion for my future.

My family is big on investing and inflicts that tradition onto me. Yet I am starting to enter the crucial age in which I must decide how to live.

By this I mean: Should I continue saving and living for the day I purchase a house, get a great job, and start a family of my own or should I live for today and enjoy the money I have while I am young and have dreams of adventure and craziness. (Tomorrow might not come.)

Note: I am in a big dilemma right now b/c I want a street bike and this endeavor would not support a healthy future.

I truly want to live without regrets (But doesn't everyone?). This may be one of those unsolvable questions.

Please help. I need insight!!!!

I do something each day to ensure a successful future. What divides the successful from the rest of the world is that they are PLANNERS as opposed to reactors. You're on the right track.

This doesn't mean you're not allowed to have fun!

follow the middle path: don't go overboard planning for the future and don't spend all your savings on a keg party either.

But in the meantime, enjoy life. There really is no such thing as future; there is only now.

Don't forget your future. Invest early and your money will do your work for you. If a street bike has a motor on it, forget it as it can severely limit your future..

It sounds like you already know the answer. Today you want a street bike but do you need it?? You will eventually NEED a house to live in. hmmmm

Dude, if you want a street bike just buy it!!! Life's too short. Today you're here tomorrow you don't know. It's probably not greed but your holding too tight to your money. You can save but you should also spend. Live Now, you'll regret it later if you don't.

In life, I was waiting to finish school, than life will get better, when i finished school went to university and said when i graduate from university than life would get better, than i started work now waiting for the salary to rise than life will get better.

I wait to have a new car, new house, ........ than i figured out that my life will end WAITING !

There always obstacles came to my life, one after another and did not let me to enjoy life the way i want. but i figure this also that these obstacles are apart of life.

so lets stop WAITING, and start living for today, BECAUSE today is in our control, and there is not better time to be happy than now, this moment is your life its in your control.

but it does not mean u should not think of future, cause if u spend everything u have today u will have nothing tomoro which would be another today for u. so think more about now and a bit about future. its up to you! some people strive to reach a position in the future and they spend all their time for that future, thats not bad but on one condition that is you must be happy when u achieve that postion and than start living for NOW after that.
