XBOX Live - Help!!!?

hi, i just got high speed internet (wireless because i live in the country)...... it is suppost to be 3mbps but i did a test and it said 900 something kbps.................

the problem- i set up a live account and every thing- started the free month- i have even downloaded a demo, its just that when i try to play against people, the games cannot find servers or say i need to connect to live, when i am. thus i am not finding people or anything.

halo 3 says cannot find halo 3 servers, cod 4 says need to connect to xbox live ( i make sure i am) and other games just dont work!!!!

i have friends that have 1 mbps wireless and it work brilliantly.... so i dont know what the problem is.

if anyone could help, it would be much appreciated.

The minimum for Xbox Live is 256K so your 900K should be fine..

I think a more likely problem might be your NAT setting.. do the Xbox Live connection test and see what it says for NAT.. if it is Moderate or Strict you will have problems connecting to some games.. (NAT should be at Open for best connectivity)

You can fix the NAT by enabling UPnP on your router if it supports it..

Or it could be that,

There is another Internet Router blocking your router from connecting to live or such.

That happened to me, only not with Xbox but with my computer.

Our neighbours have recently installed a wireless router, and it interrupted our router and we couldn't connect ours.

If that's the problem, then try closing your router for a second and connecting to another router and see if it works.

Not sure if this is a problem, but try it out.
