Please can you tell me what I will need to get a silver membership on xbox live. Ive also heard that occassionally xbox live gives the silver membership customers a free trial weekend on xbox live gold. But how often is this?
Anything else about xbox live will be appreciated.

the silver membership is free. if u get the gold one u have to pay. The first time u sign up fort xbox live u get two months free on xbox 360 gold. The things u can download off of the xbox live market place u need to buy an xbox live card to get points. There are demos and some other items u can download for free though.
