Live in Europe for a year?

This is a 2 part question:

1. If given the chance.. would u live in europe for a year? Where would you live?

2. I was thinking about living in europe for a year.. What documents would I have to fill out in order to live there for a year.. and What jobs would I be eligable for? Where would be the best place to live?

I know more than two questions but two different questions u know what i mean? lol.. thanks for answering my question... Ciao everyone!

Live in Europe for a year?

I decided to move to Europe a few years ago, and now I live there 1/2 of each year.

You can go to Europe without a visa if you are staying less than six months in any one country. That means all you need, as far as paperwork goes, is your passport (I am assuming you are American; if you are Canadian, my information may not be correct for you).

If you are going for an extended period, do check the law of the country you are going to, otherwise you could find yourself in violation of laws that get you deported or get you fined.

If you are an American, you cannot work in Europe without specific documents (not unlike the Green Card). Check out the website of the US Dept. of State for more information. You can also check the website of the Embassy of the country you want to visit.

Live in Europe for a year?

If I didn't have a family I would do it in a heartbeat! Three places I would do it at: Spain, Italy and Greece. I teach, so I would naturally try to find a teaching job for the academic year over there. Probably teaching English as a second language 1-12th grade definitely.

If Spain: Sevilla

Italy: Florence

Greece: ??? Maybe end up in Athens, or work at a hotel in one of the islands.

I really don't know what documents you would need but if you are in college, your career office or international studies office could help. Maybe the Dept. of State (US) could also help you (wherever you would need to go to get a travel visa and a working visa).

Live in Europe for a year?

Your far too nonspecific. Where in Europe? Do you speak the language? Are you aware that "Europe" isnt a contiguos country? Would you be staying with people you know, and if so, could you then afford to travel?

p.s. France really is fuul of rude frenchmen.

Live in Europe for a year?

If you're going to live somewhere you generally have to earn money to survive. What are your skills? If you go to England or Ireland what would you do? Or more importantly, what CAN you do? These are questions only you can answer.

I've lived in Estonia and I've lived in the Czech Republic. I taught English in both places. It's a great way to live. I lived in London for about a half a year and it was wonderful as well.

Paper work? Check with the embassy of the country you're interested in first. They should have web sites.

As to France having rude Frenchmen, well, it is France and I would expect to find rude Frenchmen there. But I also found some of the nicest people ever there. The French are very hospitable and friendly. They enjoy sharing their country with others and are easy to talk to.

Live in Europe for a year?

1.Yes, I would live in Europe. It is the best place I'll ever be!

2.First, you would need a passport to fly to another country, and then you need international movers, and buy a house.

The best place to live in Spain by the ocean. It's just beautiful! I went on a my friend's yacht with her, and I saw it. Amazing stuff!
