Can you please tell me about home schooling done on the computer? i live in NYC is this a good idea?

Well, i'm in 9th grade right now,,, it's the third month of school and i just want to do this until 10th grade when i will transfer to this high school which i badly want to go to. So, does anyone have experience doing this? is this a good or bad idea? i live in NY so i have no idea. Does anyone have any reccomendations for a great program? and do you have to pay? please help! oh, and i also have to take 2 regents(NY exams) so i don't know what to do!! any advice is greatly appreciated! and my e-mail is md_ambe_93@yahoo.com

There are plenty of computer programs. The best of which is switched on schoolhouse. But please be prepared...these are advanced programs, though effective.
